These tracks are intended to help you with developing a meditation routine, something that is still a work-in-progress for me. I'm not an expert on this subject, but here's my understanding of binaural beats:

The beats are an illusion created in your mind due to a slight difference in the frequency of the L and R channels. For example, if 56Hz is played in the left ear, and 60Hz in the right ear, you will hear a "beat" that plays 4x every second (ie. 4Hz).

This "beat" repeats over and over, which entrains your brainwaves (basically it causes your brainwaves to match the frequency of the beat). When your brainwaves are held at 4Hz, this is the boundary area just before you lose consciousness and begin sleeping.

The idea is to maintain full conscious awareness while your brainwaves are being entrained. It's like meditation with training wheels, because without the beats it's much harder to stay in the zone, so-to-speak.

The extra sounds I've layered on top of the binaural beats are designed to hold your full attention so that you don't drift off into random thoughts or fall asleep. It's the same idea as focusing on your breath.

Hopefully that helps! The Crackle Relaxer is the best one to start with because it gently brings you in and out of the meditation, but if you prefer to dive right into the deep end, try out the other two.
